We are a family of Believers seeking His kingdom, and pursuing transformation by faith in His Word.
OUR VISION
Our vision is to become a group of Believers that is a “community” resource. We will focus on areas that strengthen:
FAITH
What is Faith?
Faith – Without faith, it is impossible to please God. But the person who comes to God must BELIEVE that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Join us to learn how to diligently seek him with joy, and learn how your faith can work to make you living proof that God is ACTIVE in your life.
.
.
.
FAMILY
Family – A good maintenance plan works wonders for stable families, but if your household is “out of whack,” let God put it back in order.
As we use the Power of God’s Word to walk in our respective roles, God obligates Himself to cause His blessings to overtake you. He has a solution to dysfunctional relationships and wayward people.
.
.
.
FINANCES
Finances – God is a God of overflow: He expects us to have more than enough and to enjoy life abundantly.
Join us to learn how to involve God in your finances so there is abundance in your household.
.
.
.
.
.
….
.
.
FELLOWSHIP
Fellowship – Like a lion, the enemy watches the herd and goes after the straggler. However, a lion cannot take out the entire herd if they stand unified. If you find yourself alone, then you will be more susceptible to a successful attack by the enemy.
Join us and stay encouraged through conversation, food, fun and other fellowship. We can accomplish more together and remember:
“A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart.” United together, everyone stands!
.
so you can become the BEST YOU and surpass your highest goals by learning to live by God’s principles.
YOU ARE UNIQUE!
We believe that God gave you interests and passions, and His desire is to bless you so you become a blessing to Him and to others by
1. Pursuing YOUR passions with HIS help, and
2. Serving your gifts to others in HIS Power (e.g., in business, social media, donations, projects)
in HIS Power.
The truth is that if you put God first and allow God to become involved in your passionate pursuits, He will make you more effective, more successful and He will make you the BEST friend, family member, business owner, church member, etc.
All of that happens when we choose to put Him first and grow in love for our neighbors. Join our Family, today!
OUR STAFF HERE AT FOREST HILL

Pastor Quinton Gibson, Sr. has been a pastor for forty-six (46) years and has a strong reputation for his work with teens and for church growth. He is a former coach and a former basketball official, so do not be surprised when you will see him around town walking the hallways of the nearby Everman and Forest Hill schools. It is only a matter of time that you will see him at local sporting events.
Pastor Gibson has never met a stranger! Having traveled and pastored in cities that range from East Texas to Lubbock, if you take time to play a game of dominoes with him you will probably find out that the two of you are related.
He is the father of three (3) children and several grandchildren, and he is passionately known as “Gip.” He does not like to wear neckties and he always says he won’t wear another one. The inside scoop is that if you catch him in a necktie, you can ask him for $5.00 and he will give it to you! LOL!

Pastor Ken is the Pastor in Charge here at Forest Hill UMC, but he splits his time with Everman UMC – supervising bible study at both churches. Prior to becoming our pastor, he served for twenty-nine (29) years at LightChurch (Dallas & Mesquite), where Ron Shaw is Senior Pastor.
While at LightChurch, Pastor Ken served in lead positions as an elder, board member, a minister, a teacher, Minister of Music and Worship Leader, a church musician, and he headed his church’s Education Team. He also served as a resource to several other ministries.
Outside the church, our pastor has worked in government, in politics and he has served as lead counsel in complex commercial development projects and in mergers and acquisitions on behalf of Fortune 100 corporations. However, he prefers to be known for his discipleship, his devotion to God and his service to the church.
He is married, and he and his wife, Vonda, have four (4) children and two (2) grandchildren. They believe that each of us has untapped potential until we submit to God and allow Him to “breathe life” into us. Once God gets involved, WATCH OUT!
